Flinders's Providence Logbook Nov 18, 1792

Remarks Sunday 18th Towards the Cape of Good Hope

 1 pm: Light Breezes and fine Weather A swell from the Westward – People washing and mending their Cloaths – Gunners scrapi9ng & painting the Quarter Deck Guns

 5 pm: Saw Albatrosses, Sheerwaters & a Pintada Bird

 8 pm: Moderate Breezes & fine Weather heavy Clouds passing swiftly over and the Appearance of a fresh Breeze

11 pm: Single reefed the Mizen topsail

12 mid: Fresh Breezes & Cloudy Weather

 4 am: Ditto & fine Weather Out 1st reefs Mizen topsail and set the Starboard Studding sails – Water very smooth

 6 am: Saw Sheerwaters

 8 am: Fresh Gale and cloudy – Saw an Albacore and an Albatross

 9 am: Ships Company mustered in Divisions, seen clean and Divine Service performed to them by the Captain

12 noon: At Noon Fresh Gale and fine Weather with a slight Haze.
