Flinders's Providence Logbook Aug 25, 1792

Remarks Saturday August 25th H.M.S. Providence

 1 pm: Fresh Breezes & fair Weather

 4 pm: Marines exercised – People fitting new Buoy ropes

 5 pm: Ditto Weather Saw a Flock of Birds Spoke the Assistant All well – Before Dark In studding sails Top Gallant sails and 1st reefs

 8 pm: Fine Night

 9 pm: The Assistant ahead carrying a Light

12 mid: Ditto Weather

 4 am: Squally Weather

 5 am: At Daybreak Out reefs and made all Sail

 7 am: Saw Numbers of Man of War and Tropic Birds – Strong Breezes & fair Weather Washed below and destroyed a great many Cockroaches – Unbent the old and bent a new Main topsail

11 am: People washing and mending their Cloaths

12 noon: Moderate Breezes and fair Weather
Assistant in Company ahead
