Remarks Wednesday 22nd In the great South Sea

 1 pm: Moderate Breezes and pleasant Weather

 2 pm: Sailmakers repairing the Mizen topsail

 4 pm: Ditto Weather

 6 pm: Before Dark – In studding sails Top Gallant sails and 1st reefs

 8 pm: Moderate Breezes and clear Weather In 2nd reefs

 9 pm: A Hand at the Bowsprit end and topmast head to look out as usual

12 mid: Cloudy Weather The Assistant ahead carrying a Light – Under an easy sail to keep her in her station

 4 am: Fresh Breezes and cloudy Weather

 5 am: At Daybreak – Out studding sails Top Gallant sails and all reefs

 8 am: Ditto Weather Saw Tropic birds, flying Fish and Men of War Birds

10 am: People working up Junk and pointing the Mizen topsail

12 noon: Fresh Breezes and cloudy Weather with Haze about the Horizon
