Bond's Providence Logbook Jun 30, 1793

Remarks &c 30th June 1793

 1 pm: Moderate breezes and fair weather People employed mending their Clothes

 3 pm: Exercised small Arms.

 4 pm: Ditto Weather Sold part of the effects of Mr. Hinde deceased. Saw a strange sail to the South. In 1st. reef Top Sails and shortened sail for the Assistant – worked the pumps as usual

 8 pm: Light airs inclinable to calms

10 pm: Saw a false fire from the Assistant, Answered it with a light, and made more sail.

12 mid: Moderate breezes andf fine weather 2 sail in sight.

 4 am: Ditto Weather At day light the Assistant, Antelope and Clementson in company the Thomas about 6 miles ahead. Out 1st. reef and set royals.

 7 am: Served thick portable soup gruel for breakfast

 8 am: Light airs – Caught 2 Dolphin and passed several patches of gulf weed. Cleaned below – Unbent the old and bent the best Fore Top Gallant Sail; bent the old Jib.

10 am: Exercised great Guns – Mustered in Divisions and performed Divine Service. Served sour Krout.

12 noon: Moderate breezes and fine weather Assistant and Clementson in company – The Thomas and Antelope at a Distance
