Bond's Providence Logbook Jan 11, 1793

Remarks &c Friday 11th January 1793

 1 pm: Moderate breezes and cloudy weather

 3 pm: Light airs

 5 pm: Worked the Pumps – Saw Porpoises

 8 pm: Ditto Weather

 9 pm: In royals & Lower steering sail – Lightning in the NE quarter

12 mid: Moderate breezes and fair weather

 4 am: Cloudy

 5 am: Set steering sails &c. Fine weather – saw 2 fish by the seamen called Yellow tails (of the Dolphin species) Out 1st reef Top Sails.

 7 am: Served thick Portable Soup Gruel for breakfast. Clean dryed below and aird with fires. Exercised great Guns & small Arms. Made ye signal, and spoke the Ast – found all well on board. Portable soup in the Pease for dinner – Served Krout. Saw flying-fish. Broached a puncheon of Spruce Beer
