Bond's Providence Logbook Jan 7, 1793

Remarks &c Monday 7th January 1793

 1 pm: Fresh breezes and fair weather Saw a Portuguese Man of War (Nautilus) a brown Sheerwater and Mother Carey's Chicken

 6 pm: worked the Pumps.

 8 pm: Ditto Weather

12 mid: Ditto Weather Porpoises about the ship.

 4 am: Fresh breezes and fine weather

 6 am: Served the usual breakfast.

 8 am: Cleaned below and aired with fires Exercised Great Guns and small Arms.

10 am: At ½ past 10 departed this Life of a Dysentary, Thomas Galloway, wardroom cook, lately a strong, athletic man; aged 27 years – Served Vinegar & Spruce Beer. Borecole Soup for Dinner

12 noon: Moderate breezes & Cloudy.
   Latitude Observed 1°:50′ South
