Bond's Providence Logbook Dec 14, 1792

Remarks &c from Timor to St. Helena 14th December 92

 1 pm: Fresh breezes and fine clear weather

 3 pm: Sailmakers employed on old sails; Gunners painting gun carriages

 5 pm: Tarred the whale boat.

 6 pm: Worked the Pumps as usual.

 8 pm: Cloudy weather

 7 am: Served thick Portable Soup Gruel for breakfast. Cleaned below and aired with fires. Sailmakers, Gunners and Carpenters employed as before; Seamen scraping the Masts bowsprit &c, and painting the lower Masts. Greased the top & top gallant masts, topsail sheets, tyes &c.

12 noon: Moderate breezes and cloudy weather broached a puncheon of spruce beer – Assistant in company
   Latitude Observed 17°·39′ South
