Bond's Providence Logbook Sep 29, 1792

Remarks &c Saturday 29th September 1792

 1 pm: Moderate breezes and fine weather all sail set

 3 pm: Hauled down the lee steering sails.

 4 pm: Fresh breezes

 5 pm: Finished the Cutter and got her in her place

 7 pm: Shortened sail in 2nd reef Top Sails. Spoke the Assistant, and sounded – A swell from the ESE quarter

12 mid: Fresh breezes and pleasant weather with fine Moon light

 4 am: Moderate breezes and hazy Horizon

 5 am: Made all sail. Saw great numbers of Flying-fish and a Tropic bird – A swell from the ENE

 8 am: Ditto Weather served the usual Breakfast. People employed shifting their Hammocks and airing their Bedding

10 am: Saw an exceeding large flock of sea birds of the Gull species

12 noon: Fresh breezes with some clouds – haule on a wind to make the Land – Assistant leading
   Latitude Observed 10°:19′·30″ South
