Bond's Providence Logbook Aug 23, 1792

Remarks &c Thursday 23rd August 1792

 1 pm: Moderate breezes and fine weather

 5 pm: Made ye Signal to, and spoke the Assistant

 6 pm: At 6 shortened sail, and in 1st & 2nd reefs Top Sails Got down Main Top Gallant Yard and bent the new Sail up Yard &c

 7 pm: Fresh breezes and very fine weather

12 mid: Fresh breezes and clear weather

 1 am: Saw several Porpoises – struck two, but lost them

 5 am: run all night under Top Sails

 6 am: Made all sail – Saw Tropic & Man of War birds and some Bonettas – Served the usual Breakfast

 8 am: Moderate and fair weather – Served the usual Breakfast Exercised the Boat's Crews at small Arms – Served Krout in the Pease for Dinner – Sailmakers employed repairing ye old Main Top Gallant Sail – Cleaned below and aired with fires. Pl making Points &c

11 am: Saw a brown Booby

12 noon: Moderate breezes and fair weather with haze – Assistant in company
   Latitude Observed 13°:41′ South
