Bond's Providence Logbook Aug 22, 1792

Remarks &c towards Timor 22nd August 1792

 1 pm: Moderate breezes and pleasant weather – Sailmakers employed repairing Mizen Top Sail – Found our expenditure of Water to be too great, viz 2 Puncheons per diem, besides 1 Puncheon every 3rd day for the Plants

 4 pm: Ditto Weather – Curtailed the quantity of water allowed

 5 pm: Worked the Pumps as usual

 7 pm: In steering sails, Top Gallant Sails and 1st reef Top Sails

 8 pm: Moderate breezes and clear weather – in 2nd reefs

12 mid: Cloudy weather

 4 am: Fresh breezes and cloudy weather

 6 am: Made all sail

 7 am: Served Portable Soup Gruel for Breakfast

 8 am: Ditto Weather cleaned below – People employed making Points, Platting, & Pointing the Mizen Top Sail

10 am: Saw Tropic & Man of War birds, and several Flying-fish

11 am: Served Sour Krout and Portable Soup in the Pease for Dinner

12 noon: Fresh breezes and fair weather Assistant in company
