Bond's Providence Logbook Apr 7, 1792

Remarks &c Saturday 7th April 1792

 1 pm: Fresh Trade with fair weather and hazy. Saw a Mother Careys Chicken and several Flying fish – Armourer employed at the Forge – Marines firing at a Target – sailors mending their Clothes

 6 pm: Worked the Pumps as usual to ventilate the ship.

 8 pm: In steering sails and 1st reef Top Sails

10 pm: Cloudy in 2nd reef Fore Top Sail

 2 am: Saw a bird

 4 am: Moderate breezes and fair weather made all sail

 7 am: Served thick pgs for breakfast – Fresh breezes and cloudy – Cleaned below. Exercised Marines and Boat's Crews at small Arms with blank cartridges – Served Krout & Sweet Wort. Saw 2 Tropic birds , a Sheerwater & Carey's Chicken. Broached a cask of Spruce Beer
