Bond's Providence Logbook Feb 4, 1792

Remarks &c towards New Holland 4th February 1792

 1 pm: Strong gales with hard squalls and rain, and a high sea – the ship rolling deep

 2 pm: More moderate set the Foresail and Main Top Sail.

 4 pm: Saw Albatrosses, Sheerwaters, and Cary Chicken out 4 reefs and set Jibb & staysails.

 8 pm: Fresh gales and cloudy

10 pm: Fair weather – a long sea from ye Westward

 3 am: Squally with rain

 4 am: Fair weather made more sail

 7 am: Served the usual Breakfast – saw some rock weed

 8 am: Fine dry weather increased the sail – Cleaned below and aired with fires

10 am: Up Top Gallant Yards and set ye sails – set steering sails

12 noon: Fresh gales and cloudy Assistant in company
   Latitude Observed 43°:23′ South
