Bond's Providence Logbook Jan 1, 1792

Remarks &c Sunday 1st January 1792

 1 pm: Light breezes and fine weather

 2 pm: Caulkers employed on the Quarter Deck.

 3 pm: Exercised Marines at small arms.

 5 pm: Tacked Ship – Light airs, saw several Bonetas, Albatrosses, Sheerwaters & Flying fish

 7 pm: Moderate breezes sat steering sails – a long swell from the WSW.

10 pm: Fresh breezes down studding sails, in 1st reef Top Sails.

 1 am: Thick cloudy weather

 2 am: Squally with rain; shortened sail and hoisted a light.

 4 am: Fresh gale and cloudy

 6 am: Thick rain.

 7 am: Clear weather

 8 am: Cloudy – cleaned below. In 2nd reef Top sails

 9 am: Performed Divine Service.

10 am: In Mizen Topsail

12 noon: Fresh gales and fair – Assistant in Company
   Latitude Observed 37°·52′ South
