Bond's Providence Logbook Sep 21, 1791

Remarks &c Wednesday 21st September 1791

 1 pm: Moderate breezes and cloudy weather

 2 pm: Tacked Ship.

 3 pm: A squall attended with rain.

 5 pm: Served Bore Cole to the ships Company

 8 pm: Squall with rain, in Top Gallant Sails and 1st reef Top Sails

11 pm: Set Top Gallant Sails

 1 am: Dark cloudy weather all round the Horizon.

 2 am: A shower of rain.

 3 am: Made and shortened sail Squally – A fire kept in the Galley all night.

 4 am: Light rain.

 8 am: Employed cleaning and drying below; with Fires in the Brodies Stoves to air the ship &c. Seamen employed working up Junk &c.

10 am: Out reefs and set the Royals.

11 am: The air cooler than usual; Breeze increasing, and weather more settled.

12 noon: Cloudy, hauled down the Royals. Assistant in company.
   No Observation.
