Bond's Providence Logbook Sep 13, 1791

Remarks &c Tuesday 13th September 1791

 1 pm: Fresh breezes and fair weather

 4 pm: Hazy

 7 pm: Dark and cloudy to the Southward with Thunder and Lightning – Shortened sail.

 9 pm: At ½ past 9 Thunder and Lightning with very heavy rain – Squally from the Eastward.

12 mid: Light airs, calms, and fair weather Made sail.

 5 am: Set the steering sails forward

 7 am: Light airs and calms, loosed the spare sails to dry. Employed making Mats, Points, and Gaskets. Carpenters and Sailmakers respectively employed – Cleaned the ship. Saw Flying fish and got up the wet Clothes to dry – Served wine in lieu of Grog

12 noon: Ditto Weather. Assistant in company.
   Latitude Observed: 12°:31′ North
