Sunday 17  Light breezes and hazy weather. Employed rounding the Cables and other necessary duty – AM. Employed cleaning the ship fore & aft. received 3 Hogsheads of Beer from the cruizer Cutter – Latterly Light breezes and foggy

Monday 18  Moderate breezes and fair weather. hoisted out the Boat Scraped the Decks – Boatswain and Carpenter at the dock yard getting stores

Tuesday 19  At 5 PM received 8 Hogsheads of Beer, and other provisions – returned empty casks. At 8 PM. fresh gales with rain bent the sheet Cable – Employed stowing water in the Hold – Scrubbed the Hamocks – At 8 AM loosed sails to dry. received Fresh Beef and Boatswains and Carpenters stores – returned to the yard to be surveyed a 13½ Cable

Wednesday 20  Fresh gales and hazy received Warrant Officers stores – At 8 AM. received [30/80] Hogsheads of water to fill the Hold. returned 97 empty Casks. Came out of the Harbour HMS Salisbury bound to Newfoundland Came on board the Clerk of the Cheque & mustered the ship's company

Thursday 21  Fresh gales and cloudy. received a 13½ Inch Cable in exchange for the one sent on shore likewise 10 tons of Iron Ballast, nine boxes of Borecole & 11 boxes of Portable Soup. Employed cleaning the ship. Sent 4 men to the Hospital. Viz Philip Nelder, John French, John Russel & Peter Murry.

Wednesday 22  Moderate and cloudy – received some Bread. Employed stowing away the Iron Ballast & cleaning the ship – Clerk of the Cheque came on board mustered the ship's Company & paid HM royal Bounty
