Remarks Tuesday 23rd July 1793 Towards England

 1 pm: Fresh Gales and thick Haze. Bent the best Main Sail.

 4 pm: Exercised Great Guns and Small Arms

 5 pm: Let fresh Water into the Ship and Worked the pumps

 8 pm: Wetting Mist.

 2 am: Set Royals

 6 am: In Royals

 8 am: Thick Misty Weather with intervals of Sun Shine.

 9 am: Hot Breakfast of thick Portable Soup Gruel

10 am: Aired Ship with Fires. Exercised Great Guns.

12 noon: Ditto Weather and very moist Air. Broached a Puncheon of Spruce Beer.
 Assistant and Ships in Company as before
  All Sails Set.
