Providence Logbook Jul 22, 1793

Remarks Monday 22nd July 1793 Towards England

 1 pm: Fresh Gales and Cloudy with intervals of Sun Shine but a Hazy Horizon.

 5 pm: Worked the Pumps as usual and Exercised Great Guns and Small Arms

 8 pm: In Steering Sails on account of the Assistant.

 9 pm: In 1st. Reefs

 2 am: Set Fore Top Mast and lower Steering Sails

 7 am: Served Hot Breakfast as usual. Bent the best Fore Top Gallant Sail. Served Bore Cole thickned with Portable Soup and Oatmeal for Dinner

10 am: Washed and Cleaned Ship and Aired with Fires

12 noon: Strong Gales and Fair Weather. Thick Haze.
Ships as Yesterday. Sent some fresh Pork to the Assistant by a Line and Float.
