Providence Logbook Jul 12, 1793

Remarks Friday 12th July 1793 Towards England

 1 pm: Fine Weather and Hazy. Much Swell from the NW.

 2 pm: Employed filling Salt Water.

 4 pm: Worked the Pumps as usual

 7 pm: Departed this Life Joseph Adamson an Invalid from the 13th. Regiment. He died of the Dropsy.

11 pm: In Larboard Steering Sails. A prodigious heave Dew falling

 5 am: Saw Sheerwaters and Gulph Weed. Set the Larboard Studding Sails.

 7 am: Served thick Portable Soup Gruel as usual for Breakfast. Portable Soup in the Pease for Dinner.

10 am: Committed the Deceased to the Deep.

11 am: Employed Washing and mending Cloaths. Opened a Cask of Pork No. 1014 Contents 120 Double Pieces

12 noon: Light Winds, Confused Swell and a Foggy Horizon.
 Assistant, Antelope & two Guinea Men in Company.
