Providence Logbook Jun 22, 1793

Remarks Saturday 22nd June 1793 Towards England

 1 pm: Fine Weather

 2 pm: Sent a Boat for Lieut. Portlock to dine with me.

 3 pm: At 2 hour very black Sky in the South and several Water Spouts some of them very Grand and awfull.

 5 pm: At 5 Exercised Great Guns and Small Arms. Lieut. Portlock returned on board. Our Surgeon went to see his Sick People.

 8 pm: Fine Night.

 5 am: Five Sail in Sight

 7 am: Hot Breakfast as usual.

 8 am: Fine Weather and Hazy. Washed Ship fore and aft. Exercised Great Guns and Small Arms

12 noon: Fair Weather and Cloudy. Assistant and Prize Schooner in Company Five Sail in Sight
