Remarks Thursday 31st January 1793 [Towards] Jamaica

 1 pm: Fresh Breezes and fair Weather. Much Haze

 2 pm: Sea Weed and dark speckled Porpoises seen

 8 pm: Fresh Gales in Top Gallant Steering Sails

11 pm: Squally, shortned Sail occasionally

 5 am: Set all Steering Sails

 7 am: Breakfast and fresh Beef as Yesterday. Sailmakers fixing a new Awning. Cleaned below.

10 am: Squally with Showers. Served fresh Meat to the Ships Company

12 noon: Ditto Weather. Assistant in Company. Served a Puncheon of Spruce Beer to the Ships Company. Much Haze.
