Providence Logbook Jan 20, 1793

Remarks Sunday 20th January 1793 Towards [St. Vincents

 1 pm: Fine Weather and Squally. Shifted the Ships Companys Hammocks. Employed mending their Clothes.

 5 pm: Saw a Sail a Head, Proved to be a Sloop on a Wind. She showed no Colours. Night prevented our speaking her

 7 pm: Carried away the Pole of the Main Top Gallant Mast

 6 am: Fair Weather and Squally. Served thick Portable Soup Gruel for Breakfast. Cleaned below.

 9 am: Mustered as usual and saw every Person clean dressed. Never were a more healthy set of Men seen.

11 am: Performed Divine Service.

12 noon: Fine Weather and Moderate Winds Variable as to strength. All Sails Set.
   Assistant in Company.
