Providence Logbook Jan 18, 1793

Remarks Friday 18th January 1793 Towards [St. Vincents]

 1 pm: Fine Weather and extremely Hazy

 2 pm: Squally

 3 pm: Split the Fore Top Sail, unbent it to repair and bent the 2d best Sail.

 6 pm: Let fresh Water into the Ship and worked the Pumps.

 8 pm: Fair Weather and Squally.

 4 am: Squally with some Showers

 6 am: Served Portable Soup Gruel for Breakfast. Portable Soup in the Pease for Dinner. Killed a Hog and served fresh Pork to the non Commissioned Officers.

 9 am: Cleaned Ship. Sailmakers repairing Sails, People mending and washing Clothes.

11 am: Flying Fish seen. No Birds.

12 noon: Squally Weather with some bright intervals. All Sails set.
