Providence Logbook Nov 3, 1792

Remarks Saturday 3rd November 1792

 1 pm: Light Breezes and fair Weather. Squally around the Horizon.

 2 pm: Carpenters caulking the Main Deck. Took the Sails out of the Sail Rooms and Aired them.

 4 pm: Wind and Weather unsettled.

 7 pm: In 1st. Reefs.

 2 am: Small spitting Rain.

 4 am: Cloudy.

 5 am: Out Reefs. Saw a Sanderling. Tropic Birds and a Dolphin. Past a log of Wood, and saw many Squids or Scuttle Fish.

 8 am: Served thick Portable Soup Gruel for Breakfast. Washed & Cleaned below and dried with Fires. Afterwards employed Washing and Mending Clothes.

12 noon: Light Winds and Fair Weather with Squalls all around the Horizon and some Rain.
  Broached a Puncheon of Spruce Beer.
   Assistant in Company.
