Remarks Tuesday 23rd October 1792

 1 pm: Fresh Gale and dark Gloomy Weather with an appearance of much Dirt.

 3 pm: Sailmakers Employed about the 2nd best Fore Topsail.

 4 pm: In Steering Sails and 2nd. Reefs in the Top Sails.

 5 pm: Let fresh Water into the Ship and worked the Pumps as usual

 2 am: Heavy Squalls with Showers of small Rain.

 5 am: In 3rd Reefs of the Top Sails

 8 am: Strong Gales and thick Cloudy Weather. Hot Breakfast as usual.
Out 3rd. Reefs.

 9 am: Cleaned below and Aired with Fires.

10 am: Unbent the Main Topmast Stay Sail to repair.

12 noon: Ditto Weather with spitting Rain. Much Sea from the SE and SSE.
   Assistant in Company
