Providence Logbook Aug 16, 1792

Remarks Thursday 16th August 1792

 1 pm: Moderate and dark Cloudy Weather

 2 pm: Exercised at Small Arms and fired. Unbent the New and bent the Old Jib.

 5 pm: Squally Weather. Let fresh Water into the Ship and worked the Pumps to Ventilate the Ship.

 7 pm: Shortned Sail and in 1st. Reefs.

 8 pm: Squally in Second Reefs.

 5 am: Out Reefs and Set all Sails. Saw a Tropic Bird.

 6 am: Fair Weather and Cloudy.

 7 am: Served Breakfast as Yesterday. Bore Cole in the Pease for Dinner.

 8 am: Aired below with Fires, Unbent the Old Mizen Top Sail to repair, Cleaned below, Exercised at Small Arms and fired.

12 noon: Fair and pleasant Weather. Assistant in Company
   Plants in fine Order.
