Providence Logbook Jan 28, 1792

Remarks Saturday 28th January 1792 [Towards Van] Diemans Land

 1 pm: Fresh Breezes and fair Weather

 2 pm: Employed making Sinnet & Spunyarn

 3 pm: Exercised Small Arms

 5 pm: Let fresh Water into the Ship and worked the pumps as usual. – A few Albetrosses and Mother Careys Chicken. —

10 pm: Heavy Dew

 2 am: In 1st. Reefs. Swell from the WSW

 6 am: Out Reefs

 8 am: Cloudy but pleasant Weather. Washed & Cleaned below. Gave the people a hot breakfast of thick Gruel –

10 am: Served Krout as usual and Sweet Wort at ½ past 10. —

11 am: Aired Ship with Fires — Exercised at Small Arms - In 1st. Reefs —

12 noon: Fair and pleasant Weather. Assistant in Company but we are obliged frequently to shorten Sail for her – a few Sheerwaters & small Petterals
