Providence Logbook Jan 27, 1792

Remarks Friday 27th January 1792 Towards Van [Diemans Land]

 1 pm: Moderate Breezes and Cloudy Weather. Lieut. Portlock came to Dine with me – all well on board. —

 4 pm: Exercised at Small Arms

 6 pm: Let fresh Water into the Ship and workd the pumps as usual. —

 8 pm: Fine Night

12 mid: Much dew —

 8 am: Fair Weather. Served a Hot breakfast of thick Portable Soup Gruel.–

10 am: Sour Krout as usual and a pint of Sweet Wort at ½ past 10 OClock

11 am: Exercised at Small Arms & Cleaned Ship and Aired with Fires. —

12 noon: Fresh Breezes and Smooth Water. —
 No Birds. — Assistant in Company but not able to keep way with us. —
