Providence Logbook Jan 25, 1792

Remarks Wednesday 25th January 1792 Towards Van [Diemans Land]

 1 pm: Moderate Breezes and fair Weather

 2 pm: Carpenters Employed new fitting the Scuttle

 5 pm: Let fresh Water into the Ship and worked the pumps to ventilate the Hold—

 7 am: Very fine Weather

 8 am: Washed and Cleaned Ship fore & aft Dried with Fires —

 9 am: Gave a Hot Breakfast of thick Portable Soup Gruel – Served Sweet Wort at ½ past 10 oClock & Sour Krout as usual —
Exercised at Small Arms Sailmakers repairing the Fore Top Gallant Sail —

12 noon: Ditto Weather. No Birds to be seen – Smooth water – All Sails Set —
 Assistant in Company but obliged to shorten Sail for her at times. —
