Providence Logbook Jan 8, 1792

Remarks Sunday 8th January 1792 Towards Van [Diemans Land]

 1 pm: Strong Gale and Fair Weather

 2 pm: Sheerwaters and Albetrosses

 4 pm: Worked the pumps as usual to keep the Ship free of bad Air —

 6 pm: Gale Moderating. Made more Sail

12 mid: Moderate and Cloudy

 1 am: Up Top Gallant Yards and made all Sail

 8 am: Fair Weather and pleasant Air – Saw Birds as usual.–

10 am: Cleaned Ship and having Mustered the People and saw them clean, I performed Divine Service. — Served Krout.

12 noon: Ditto Weather. Assistant in Company. All Sails Set. –
  Swell from the S.W.
