Remarks Tuesday 27th December 1791 Towards Van [Diemans Land]

 1 pm: Fresh Breezes and fair Weather

 3 pm: Punished James Coates with one Dozen lashes for neglect of duty —

 8 pm: Fresh Gale

 3 am: Light Rain

 6 am: Scrubbed Hammocks

 8 am: Sea Rising. In 2nd Reefs on account of the Assistant

 9 am: Cleaned below – Saw a Shark, Porpoises and Albetrosses. –

12 noon: Fair Weather with a fresh Gale. Under Double Reefs
   Assistant in Company all Sails but Top Gallant Sails —
