Remarks Sunday 6th November 1791

 1 pm: Fair Weather and Hazy

 2 pm: Whales – Albetrosses Pintada Birds and Sheerwaters —

 5 pm: Bent the Cables — Gave the people Clean Hammocks —

 9 pm: Squally and drizling Rain. Steered a point to the Southward to keep my Latitude for Cape Town. —

12 mid: Fresh Breezes and Cloudy

 3 am: Tried soundings 130 fathoms Line No Ground

 7 am: Caught a Porpoise. Albetrosses and Pintada Birds —

 8 am: Very Hazy Weather Cleaned Ship

10 am: At ½ past 10 Saw the Sugar Loaf Hill Table Bay S66E —

11 am: Saw many Divers

12 noon: Fair and very Hazy Weather. Lyons Rump S73E distant 7 Leagues. Lyons Head or Sugar loaf S70E. Table Hill S61E — The Coast towards the Cape SSE — 9 leagues off shore. –
