Providence Logbook Nov 2, 1791

Remarks Wednesday 2nd November 1791

 1 pm: Fresh Gales and fair Weather. In Studding Sails

 4 pm: In 2nd Reef Main Top &am; close Reefed Mizen Top Sail —
 Albetrosses Pintada Birds Mother Careys Chicken — Bearing up for the Brig occasinally. —

 8 pm: Strong Gales and Squally

10 pm: Very Squally and Gale increasing – made the Signal to the Assistant to shorten Sail and Close Reef'd the Top Sails—

 2 am: Down Top Gallant Yards & handed the Top Sails

 4 am: Very hard Gale.

 6 am: More Moderate – Set Topsails

 7 am: Fair Weather

 9 am: Cleaned and Aired below with Fires & got all Cloaths & Bedding up on Deck

10 am: Out Reefs —

12 noon: Fresh Gale & fine Weather. Assistant in Company. —
