Bounty Logbook Aug 14-18, 1789

Remarks at Coupang. Friday 14th to Tuesday 18th. August 1789.

Fresh Breezes Easterly and Fair Wr. Three People Ill with intermitting Fever. The Secretary of the Company[*] brought me in an Account a Tax of 5 prCent on the Purchase of the Schooner, but I refused to pay any such Tax and it was therefore laid on the Seller.

The Governor exists but that is all. I am now busyly employed writing my letters and getting my Accounts in a train for settling.
