Bounty Logbook Aug 9-11, 1789

Remarks at Coupang Sunday 9^th to Tuesday 11^th August 1789.

Strong Breezes at ESE and Fair W^r. Variable Winds at night. Four Men Ill with intermitting Fevers.

On applying for Fire wood M^r. Wanjon immediatly sent off a party of Malays to cut the quantity I wanted. Ballasted the Vessel and received five Puncheons of water on board. On the 10^th. Received 2 Puncheons of Salt meat, one containing 254 lbs Beef and the other 250 lbs Pork.

On the 11^th Received 504 lbs Rice in Bags. The Governor lying in a dying State M^r. Wanjon most readily took the whole at his own risk and will supply me with Cash and every thing I am in need of out of his private fortune.
