The Resource was the schooner Bligh purchased in Coupang, Timor, to carry the crew of the launch to Batavia (Jakarta) in Java. The schooner departed Coupang on August 21, 1789 and arrived in Batavia on October 1, 1789 having touched at Pasuruang, Surabaya and Semarang en route.
