at this time we could see that there was no Natives near us I set out in company with Messrs Peckover Nelson Cole and several more — to get oysters. after we had got as many as four or five could carry, Mr Peckover & Mr Cole and two or three more carry them to the Boat and the rest stay'd to get more. While the others was gone — When Messrs Cole and Peckover return'd I ask them how those came on that remain at the Boat, they said that Captn Bligh was in a sad passion calling every Body the Name that he could think of telling them — that If it had not been for him that they would not a been there. they said that he was very Right in what he told them. Poor Mr Nelson whom I very seldom

heard swear — said to me Yes Damn his blood it is his Oeconomy that brought us here, other particulars of this [?] I will refer the reader to Captn Blighs narritive as he did nothing but make a great noise and write his remarks — which made every one happy about him — the last day that this Island which Captn Bligh call Restoration Isle — he was sitting under a tree amost all day writing. Mr Hallet Mid frequently carried him so[me] Berrys to eat — I thought that Captn Bligh had been taken off the [?] and the [? ?] but Mr Hallet told me that he was correcting the [?] or Books — after we sail'd from this Isle we had a new [prayer?] night & morning
