We have been favoured by Captain Mugford, with the following information from New Zealand and Cloudy Bay. The Black Warrior sailed from the Bay of Islands on the 20th July; she has experienced very heavy gales from the S.W., on her passage up; on the 27th July in a gale carried away her main yards.

      Ships at the Bay of Islands. — Clarkston[sic] of Nantucket, 3,100 barrels sperm oil; Cadmus of New Bedford, 2,300 ditto; Pocklington of Sydney, Webster, 1,050 ditto; Harriet of Sydney, 361 ditto; crew sick with scurvy; the Montreal repairing.

      The Clarkston[sic] reported having heard that Captain Chapman, of the Anastasia, and Crew, had been picked up at sea, also that four men had been killed on board the Plough Boy, by four of the New Zealanders on board, who cut away the boats and left the ship in the night. Peace was made between the Native Chiefs, in the Bay.
