1:00 pm Fresh Breezes & Cloudy Weather. But we have generally a faint Sight of the Sun, with which we can scarce get altitudes for the time, and I cannot benefit by the Sun and Moon being in Distance, or can I get any Observations at Night.

10:00 pm Wet Fog.

Wednesday, Oct. 8, 1788

12:00 am Cloudy Weather.

8:00 am Served Portable Soup in the Oatmeal & Pease as Usual and Served Sweet Wort.

10:00 am Cleaned below and Exercised Small Arms.

12:00 pm Fair Weather and Cloudy with Haze. Smooth Water. No Birds. The Wind as Steady in the NNW as a Trade.
