4:00 pm Saw a great quantity of scum on the Water, supposed to be Fish Spawn.

8:00 pm Light Airs & Clear Weather.

9:00 pm Tacked.

Monday, Jan. 14, 1788

12:00 am Inclinable to calm

4:00 am Tacked. Clear Weather and very pleasant.

8:00 am Out 1st Reefs

9:00 am Employed making matts points and Gaskitts.

12:00 pm Clear & Pleasant Weather.
