Moored in Table Bay Cape of Good [Hope]

Tuesday November 8th

 1 pm: Moderate and fine weather

 3 pm: Employed tallying and making up the running rigging and sails

 5 pm: Struck Lower Yards Top Gallant Masts and Topmasts

 6 pm: Sent John Smith William Gray John Jacobs, and Thomas Baillies to Sick Quarters

 9 pm: at 9 Moderate and very clear

 5 am: Heavy Squalls with much rain

 6 am: Moderate, hoisted out the Boats and sent the Jolly Boat for fresh Meat

 8 am: received fresh Mutton Bread and Greens – Shipped the Topmasts – Employed starting salt Water

12 noon: Moderate and fine open cloudy weather
