Tuesday 6  Light breezes & Cloudy Weather PM Employed working up Junk Made & Shortened Sail Occasionally AM Clear Weather Employed as before Carpenter making a Snatch block for the Main Sheet At Noon Providence SWbS ½ a Cable

Wednesday 7  Light breezes & Clear Weather Employed as before Made & Shortened Sail Occasionally AM Fresh breezes Served Portable Soup to the Ships Company At Noon Providence SSW 1 Mile

Thursday 8  Moderate & Clear PM Employed Occasionally AM Ditto Weather Employed working up Junk & cleaning below Made & Shortened Sail Occasionally At Noon Fresh breezes & Cloudy Weather Providence SSW ½ a Cable

Friday 9  Ditto Weather PM Made & Shortened Sail Occasionally AM Light breezes & Clear Tacked Ship at ½ past 5 Saw the Isle of Sal At Noon Fresh breezes & Cloudy Weather Providence WSW ¼ of a Cable

Saturday 10  Fresh breezes & Squally PM in 1st & 2nd Reefs of the Top Sails at 4 Light breezes Out Reefs of the Topsails The Isle of Sal bore EbN distant 7 Leagues at 6 Saw the Island of Bonavista AM Employed Occasionally at 10 Saw Eaton Rock bearing E½N distant 5 Miles At Noon Light breezes & fine pleasant Weather Providence South ¼ of a Cable

Sunday 11  Light breezes & Clear Weather PM at 4 Saw the Island of May the extremes from SSE to SSW AM Ditto Weather at ½ past 5 hauled up & Saw the Island of St. Iago bearing from NbE to NW½W Distance off Shore 5 or 6 Leagues Read the Articles of War to the Ships Company at 11 Got the Sweeps out & Employed rowing towards the Commodore at 12 Tacked Ship & stood in for the Roads the Town of Prayo bearing NbW 5 or 6 Miles & the Providence NbW 1½ Mile
