1 pm: Moderate Breezes & Cloudy Weather

 2 pm: People washing and mending their Clothes Saw many Dolphins & Albacores flying Squid and an Albatross – Hooked an Albacore but he made his Escape

 5 pm: Fair Weather and an increasing Breeze

 6 pm: Before Dark – Took in Top Gallant Studding sails and the 1st reef of the Topsails

 8 pm: Dark Clouds to the Westward and threatning Weather took in all the Studding sails

 9 pm: At 9 Squally with small rain – In Top Gallant sails and 2nd reefs – Green houses uncovered to receive the rain – Many luminous Blubbersin ye Water

12 mid: Strong Breezes & thick cloudy Weather Third reefed the Topsails – Sea from the SW

 2 am: Increasing Gales and Squally with frequent rain Sent down the Fore Top Gallant yard – Took in more Sail to keep the Assistant ahead in her Station – At 4 Strong Gales and thick cloudy Weather Saw Cape Hens & Tropic Birds Numbers of Albacores & Sheerwaters – Head Sea and Ship pitchiing considerably

 8 am: Thick cloudy Weather and very Hazey – Sent down the Main Top Gallant yard and Hoisted the Whale boat in boardf – Ships Company mustered in Divisions seen clean and Divine Service performed to them by the Captain

12 noon: At Noon Strong Gales & cloudy Weather Sun seen at Intervals but rather hazed – A head Sea running – Assistant in Company
