Flinders's Providence Logbook Mar 28, 1792

Remarks Wednesday 28th Towards Otaheite

 1 pm: Moderate Breezes & fine Weather

 2 pm: Exercised Great Guns those upon the Quarter Deck only

 4 pm: Fine pleasant Weather

 5 pm: Worked the Pumps as usual

 7 pm: Before Dark – In Steering Sails Royals and 1st Reefs – Handed the Main sail

 9 pm: Light Airs & Cloudy Weather

12 mid: Ditto Weather and fine Night

 5 am: At Day break Out all reefs set Steering sails and Royals

 7 am: The Sun visible but thro' a thick Haze

 8 am: Light Breezes & Cloudy

 9 am: Cleaned below Wort at the usual time Exercised Great Guns and the Marines at Platoon firing – Sailmakers repairing the Quarter Deck Awning & Carpenters caulking the Launch

12 noon: Light Breezes and Cloudy Weather
