1 pm: Fresh Breezes & fair Weather A Swell from the Westward – The Assistant in her Station Made all Sail – Light Showers of Rain

 5 pm: Fresh Breezes and fair Weather Saw an Albatross and a Piece of Rock-weed – Let in Water and worked the Pumps as usual Spoke the Assistant – All well on board

 8 pm: At 8 Moderate Breezes & fine Weather

12 mid: A Fire all Night in the Galley to air the Ship

 4 am: Light Breezes

 6 am: Light Airs and fine clear Weather

 8 am: Got up All wet Clothes to dry, cleaned below and aired with Fires – Saw Cape Hens, but few other Birds

10 am: At 10 the Wind inclining more to the Eastward – Took in Steering sails – Sailmakers about the Fore-sail – The People allowed a Cask of fresh water which was not very good and the Morning to wash and mend in – Wort served at the usual Time and a Cask of Spruce Beer broached and served instead of Wine

12 noon: Light Airs and fine clear Weather
