Bond's Providence Logbook Oct 18, 1792

Remarks &c Thursday 18th October 1792

 1 pm: Fresh breezes and cloudy weather

 2 pm: Saw a Man of War bird.

 6 pm: Worked the Pumps as usual – Hauled down the Fore Steering Sails and in 1st reef Top Sails

12 mid: Cloudy weather with sudden gusts of wind.

 1 am: In Fore Top Mast Steering sail.

 3 am: Set Fore Top Mast Steering sail

 4 am: Heavy Swell from the SW.

 5 am: Saw numbers of flying fish.

 7 am: Served the usual Breakfast

 8 am: Fresh breezes and fair weather clean swept below and aired with Fires. Served Sour Krout as usual, and Portable Soup in the Pease for Dinner – Saw rock weed, and Porpoises. Employed working up Junk. Out 1st reef Top Sails – Carpenters still employed about the Green House and Sailmakers making skreens for it

12 noon: Fresh breezes and fair weather with haze. Assistant a head in her station
