Bond's Providence Logbook Jul 16, 1792

Remarks &c 16th July 1792

 1 pm: Moderate breezes and dark cloudy weather with heavy showers of rain at times

 4 pm: Inclinable to rain – handed sails

 5 pm: received 182 large Pots of Plants

12 mid: Light airs and cloudy weather

 5 am: received on board per two Launches, 121 Large, & 153 small Pots; 39 Tubs, and 26 Boxes; being the total of the Plants from the Green House at the Post on shore – Carpenters variously employed – received on board the Observatory

 7 am: Total Account of Plants received on board – 780 Large, & 301 small Pots; 35 Tubs, and 26 Boxes, of Bread fruit. Of Avees, 8 large & 17 small Pots. Mattee, 5 large and one small Pot. Aya-yah, 4 large and 31 small Pots, and 2 Tubs. Oreeah (fine Plantain) 10 Large Pots. Fuahea, (Mountain Plantain) 2 large Pots. Peeha 7 large Pots. Ratta 18 large and 7 small Pots. Ettow 2 Large & 4 small Pots. Curiosity Plants 2 large 8 small Pots & 2 Tubs.

10 am: Served fresh Pork, Breadfruit, Plantains, Cocoa Nuts &c as usual; and received a moderate supply

12 noon: Moderate and cloudy with showeers at times.

Memo: Some of the Pots &c contained only one Plant, and some as many as four so that in all there were on board Breadfruit Plants,   ; Tvee,   ; Mattee,   ; Aeeyah,   ; Oreeah,   ; Va-ee(Tvahee)   ; Reea,   ; Ratta,   ; Ettou,   ; and Curiosity Plants,   ; in all
