1 pm: Light breezes and thick rainy weather with a long westerly swell

 3 pm: Crossed Top Gallant Yards and set the sails

 4 pm: Light airs and rainy weather inclinable to Calm

 6 pm: Squally – split ye Main Top Gallant sail and bent another Sat Fore Sail & Top Gallant Sails – Worked the Pumps

 8 pm: Moderate breezes with rain – Fire in all night to air the ship. Out 2nd reef Fore Top Sail

12 mid: Squally with heavy rain

 1 am: Hard squalls, in Top Gallant Sails & 3rd reef Fore & 2nd reef Main Top Sail

 3 am: Strong Hail storms – shortened sail accordingly

 5 am: Out 1 reef Top Sails & set Main Top Gallant Sail

 8 am: Served the usual Breakfast – Cleaned below & dry with fires – got up all wet Clothes – shortened sail for ye Assistant – Aired the small sails – Sailmakers & Carpenters employed occasionally – At 10 out all reefs & made sail. Served Wort & Krout, with Bore Cole in the Pease for Dinner
