1 pm: Fresh breezes and cloudy, with a swell from the Southward. Saw a number of Porpoises.

 8 pm: Moderate breezes and thick cloudy weather with drizzling rain at times

10 pm: Shortened sail for the Assistant. In 2nd reef Fore and 1st reef Mizen Top Sails.

12 mid: A luminous appearance in the water.

 1 am: Saw several Porpoises.

 2 am: Fires all night to air the Ship

 4 am: Moderate and cloudy. Out 2nd reef Fore Top Sail and set the Fore Top Mast Steering sails

 8 am: Fresh breezes and dark cloudy weather. Cleaned below and aired with fires. Sailmakers, Caulkers and Carpenters respectively employed. Some hands getting fresh water to hand and preparing the hold for filling salt water

12 noon: Saw Albatrosses and Sheerwaters. Dipped overboard and scrubbed a new Main Top Sail.
