Bond's Providence Logbook Sep 19, 1791

Remarks &c Monday 19th September 1791

 1 pm: Weather more settled and rain increasing – Saved 3 Puncheons of rain water from the Awnings.

 4 pm: Up all wet Clothes to dry

 5 pm: Moderate breezes inclinable to be fair. Kept Fires in the Stoves below, and one constantly in the Galley to dry & air Clothes and the ship during the night &c.

12 mid: Cloudy weather and cool air.

 5 am: Fresh breezes and cool air, set Royals and Studding sails – Saw a Sail to the WNW.

 8 am: Up all Chests and Bags and washed below. Cleaned the Orlop & Cockpits, and aired with Fires in Brodies Stoves. Cleaned the Gun room and burnt tender in an Iron pot for some time – stowed it afresh

12 noon: Light airs and dark cloudy sky to the East Shortened sail, the Assistant in company
   Latitude Observed: 7°:25′:30″ North
